Event Overview
The campus came alive with traditional music, dance, and vibrant attire as students celebrated Navras Garba. The event was divided into two sessions to accommodate both BMS and MMS students. Students and faculty were dressed in traditional Garba attire showcased their dancing skills, and the event fostered a strong sense of community and cultural pride. The program successfully brought together faculty and students in a joyous celebration, building camaraderie and enriching campus life.
Investment & Trading Yoddha Competition (FinYoddha)

Event Overview
The Finance Club of SRBS, FinYoddha, launched the “Investment & Trading Yoddha Competition” on 7th October, continuing till 18th October. This initiative provided students with a hands-on experience in investment and trading, sharpening their financial acumen and decision-making skills. The event saw active participation, with students competing to test their strategies and understanding of the stock market. Certificates were awarded to all participants, fostering a spirit of encouragement and achievement. Event Overview
On 24 th October, IIC SRBS, hosted a motivational session featuring Dipti Thakkar, Director at PwC Pvt. Ltd., who has over 12 years of experience in Tax Technology for the Financial Services Industry and is also the founder of ARDHAVI-Bharat's Artistry. She shared her journey, shedding light on her transition from a corporate role to entrepreneurship. Dipti's insights inspired students, especially aspiring entrepreneurs, offering them valuable lessons in perseverance, innovation, and balancing professional and personal goals. The session emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adaptability in achieving success.

The Diwali Cultural Event on 28th October brought a festive atmosphere to SRBS, with various traditional competitions like Diya Decoration, Lantern Making, and Rangoli Creation. Students and faculty participated enthusiastically, showcasing their artistic talents and creativity. The event saw everyone dressed in traditional Indian attire, adding to the festive spirit. The Diwali celebration highlighted the cultural diversity on campus and reinforced a sense of togetherness.
The diverse events organized in October reflected SRBS's commitment to providing an enriching campus experience. MMS Induction for the Batch 2024-26

The SRBS MMS Induction for the batch of 2024-26 was conducted over three engaging days, designed to welcome students and equip them with essential skills for their upcoming academic journey.
Event Overview
Day 1: Inauguration and Ice-Breaking Games
Morning Session: The induction began with a formal inauguration, featuring welcoming speeches by faculty and senior management. This set a positive tone and encouraged students to actively participate in the program.
Afternoon Session: The second half focused on ice-breaking games aimed at fostering camaraderie among students. These interactive activities facilitated networking and helped students feel comfortable in their new environment.
Day 2: Knowledge Sessions and Club Activities
Morning Session: The day commenced with insightful knowledge sessions led by industry speakers specializing in sales and advertising. Their real-world experiences and expert advice provided valuable perspectives on current trends and practices in the industry. Career in Sales session was taking by Mr. Amit Verma, Vice President HDFC, & Careers in Advertising Session was conducted by Mrs. Jasrvee Kaur Chandra, Integrated Brand Management Leader.
Afternoon Session: The second half of the day was dedicated to HR and Marketing games, initiated by respective clubs. These activities were designed to enhance teamwork, creativity, and strategic thinking among students.
Day 3: Professional Development and Club Engagement
Morning Session: The final day included a session on building a professional LinkedIn account, emphasizing the importance of personal branding and networking in today’s job market. The session also featured the felicitation of DigiTeam students, celebrating their achievements in digital initiatives.
Afternoon Session: The concluding activities involved operations and finance games conducted by the respective clubs. These games aimed to deepen students’ understanding of operational efficiency and financial management through practical scenarios.
The SRBS MMS Induction for the 2024-26 batch was a well-rounded program that successfully blended formal sessions with interactive activities. Students left with enhanced knowledge, new friendships, and a clearer vision for their professional journeys ahead. The efforts of faculty, industry speakers, and club coordinators were instrumental in making this induction a memorable experience.
Tree Plantation Campaign

A Tree Plantation Campaign is an organized effort aimed at promoting the planting and nurturing of trees to combat environmental issues such as deforestation, climate change, and loss of biodiversity. By involving communities, educating the public, and fostering partnerships, the campaign aims to create a lasting positive impact on the environment and society. Through collective effort and dedication, we can work towards a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for all.
Event Overview
Keeping this in mind Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research organized “Tree Plantation” campaign under DLLE unit and Green Club “NISARGA” on 27th June, 2024 at Sheila Raheja Garden to promote environmental awareness. It was attended by college staffs and 40 student volunteers. Students were guided about tree planting and reminded them about what are should be taken during tree planting. 15 coconut trees are planted, the pits were made by the garden authorities. In spite of heavy rains the student's enthusiasm prevailed and made the event a success.
International Day against Drug Abuse

Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research has organized an Awareness Campaign on International Day against Drug Abuse in Association with Mumbai Police, Since its inception by the United Nations General Assembly in 1987, the International Day Against Drug Abuse has become a rallying point for governments, organizations, and individuals worldwide to come together in solidarity against the scourge of drug abuse. It provides a platform to raise awareness about the devastating consequences of drug addiction, promote preventive measures, advocate for effective drug policies, and support those affected by drug dependency.
Event Overview
Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research along with Sheila Raheja Institute of Hotel Managementand L S Raheja School of Architecture has organized an Awareness Campaign on International Day against Drug Abuse in Association with Mumbai Police. The main speakers of the event were API Narcotics officers from the Crime Branch, Mumbai. Dr. Harish Kumar S. Purohit, Director SRBS has addressed the importance of the major problem that illicit drugs represent to society and to promote action and cooperation in achieving a world free of drug abuse.
The API officers explained the broader societal impacts of drug abuse and the role of individuals in creating positive change through a 15 minute video. They emphasized that proactive measures to prevent drug abuse can be achieved through education, early intervention programs, and community-based initiatives. The event ended with an oath which states that we as community must unite together to fight against drug abuse.
International Yoga Day

Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research, Sheila Raheja Institute of Hotel Managementand L S Raheja School of Architecture have collectively celebrated “International Yoga Day” on 21st June 2024. All participants and staff member were assembled in the Raheja Education Complex – Ground Floor Auditoriumto celebrate “International Yoga Day”at 10.00 am to 11.00 am, so as to ensure that the practice session is conducted in the most conducive manner even for the novice participant.
Event Overview
Experience yoga instructor, Mr. Ishank Raghupate narrated the importance of practicing yoga daily, the usefulness of Meditation, Pranayaams, Asanas for the overall wellbeing of human beings. Around 70 participants actively participated in the session. Dr. Harish Kumar S. Purohit, Director SRBS has motivated everyone through his active participation.
Yoga Instructor started yoga with the warm up exercise followed by Suryanamaskar and many other asanas. Session ended with 10 minute Meditation.
Alumni Meet 2024

Sheila Raheja School of Business Management & Research organized an Alumni Meet for it's passed out batch of MMS, BMS and BAMMC programs at the ground floor auditorium at Raheja Education Complex.
The Alumni Meet aimed to provide a sense of belongingness among the alumni community, reconnecting them with their alma mater, and providing a platform of networking and reminiscing about their academic journey. It also aimed to facilitate interactions between alumni and current students, allowing for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
Event Overview
The alumni students of SRBS were warmly welcomed by the Director, faculty members, non-teaching staff and the current students. The current students of SRBS had put up a variety of cultural performances showcasing their talent to entertain the alumni present at the event.
The students had also created a collage of pictures from all the good times spent at their alma mater. The Alumni enjoyed the audio visual and reminiscing the memories held in each frame. The audio visual took them back to their time as students at SRBS. After the cultural performances and light entertainment, the alumni proceeded towards dinner and DJ night held afterwards.
The event gave the students a good chance to interact with each other while reconnecting with old friends, making new connections, and reminiscing about shared experiences. The Alumni Meet served as a tribute to the enduring bond between the alma mater and its alumni. Apart from the nostalgia, the event provided a platform for meaningful connections, knowledge sharing, and constructive interaction.

Sheila Raheja School of Business Management & Research organized the Degree Distribution Ceremony for MMS students pass out batch of 2021 -2023, BMS students, pass out batch of 2020-2023 and BAMMC students, pass out batch of 2020-2023. The event was held at the ground floor auditorium, Raheja Education Complex. Parents were also invited to the ceremony to witness the proud moment.
Event Overview
The chief guest of the evening, Mr. Shyam Wadhwani gave some valuable insights, shared words of wisdom, encouragement, and inspiration with the graduating batches. His speech not only reflected on the holistic development and achievements of the graduates but also emphasized the importance of resilience, lifelong learning, and making a positive impact on society.
Dr. Harish Kumar Purohit, Director of SRBS motivated the students with his words of wisdom while highlighting the academic excellence and achievements of the students of SRBS. The director then took the graduate’s oath along with all the students and concluded his speech.
Thereafter the degree distribution ceremony commenced. The toppers names were announced first followed by the entire batch of MMS, BMS and BAMMC students.
Employability Skills Training Programme for Female Students under Mahindra & Mahindra's CSR initiative

Mahindra Pride Classroom is a flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Livelihood programme of the Mahindra and Mahindra group and is fully implemented by Naandi Foundation, a Public Charitable Trust incorporated under the Indian Trusts Act, having its registered office in Hyderabad.
Mahindra Pride Classroom's vision is “To mainstream socially and economically disadvantaged youth, through the process of skill-development training, so as to make them employable in the various sector”.
The team strongly believes that apart from academic education, Skill Development is also required for students when they step out into the professional world. It is imperative for young adults to be equipped with essential life skills and soft skills. While certain skills may be acquired through everyday experience at home, Classroom or College, they are not sufficient to adequately equip the youth in today's complex society.
The Mahindra Pride Classroom aims to help students to:
- • Develop an identity and improve their self-esteem.
- • Manage emotions and overcome obstacles.
- • Build relationships and polish their interpersonal skills.
- • Enhance and improve employability skills.
- • Improve personal and professional effectiveness.
The life skills component of the training module has helped to transform the learners into confident, determined, goal-oriented youth – a personality shift essential for them to pursue successful careers in the sectors of their choice.
It has helped improve students' understanding of the world and their role and responsibility towards it. It has also enabled them in finding ways to cope with the challenges that life throws at them. These young adults, who underwent our training, firmly believe that they will be able to live a more productive and fulfilling life.
A Session on Design Thinking & Behavioural Science

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research organized a Session on Design Thinking and Behavioural Science on 19th March 2024.
The session was organized to equip students with the necessary knowledge and strategies to approach complex problems, generate innovative ideas, and design effective solutions. The speaker for the session was Mr. Mandeep Singh Toor, design Thinker at Tinkerlabs. He explained to the participants the importance of developing critical thinking abilities, which include the capacity to analyze problems, identify underlying assumptions, and evaluate evidence.
Marathi Bhasha Divas

The DLLE and Cultural Team of Sheila Raheja School of Business Management & Research (SRBS) organized "Marathi Bhasha Divas" for the BMS & MMS department of SRBS on 27th February 2024 to honour the birth anniversary of famous Marathi poet Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, who was popularly known as 'Kusumagraj'.. The purpose of holding the event was to preserve Marathi language and to aware students about Marathi. The event started in the presence of Dr. Harish Kumar S. Purohit and Dr. Samadhan Khamkar.
The celebrations began with the traditional Lezim performance. Following it, invoking the blessings of the almighty, lighting of the lamp was done by our esteemed Director and Faculties. Dr. Harish Kumar S. Purohit (Director) welcomed and greeted the audience for participating in the celebrations. The MMS and BMS students had put up wonderful performances. This included dance performances and songs. Through an enactment, the students guided the audience on the importance of the day. The performances also included poems in Marathi that were penned down by the students themselves. The audience was enthralled by the performances and gave a wonderful presence and appreciation throughout the event.
Session on Design Thinking, Critical Thinking, and Innovation Design

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research organized a Session on Design Thinking, Critical Thinking, and Innovation Design.
The session was organized to equip students with the necessary knowledge and strategies to approach complex problems, generate innovative ideas, and design effective solutions. The speaker for the session was Mr. Subhod Lagade, Sr. Solution Architect and Associate Director of the leading MNC connected online from Canada. He explained to the participants the importance of developing critical thinking abilities, which include the capacity to analyze problems, identify underlying assumptions, and evaluate evidence.
The speaker shared real-life use cases from the finance and accounting domain where effective applications of design thinking are used. The session was highly interactive, where participants engaging with the speaker and asking thought-provoking and explorative questions. The speaker offered assistance to participants who had further questions or doubts related to design thinking and its implementation using artificial intelligence and analytical tools.
Session on Entrepreneur's Skill Attitude & Behaviour on 10th February '24

The Institution Innovation Council of Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research organized a Session on Entrepreneur's Skill Attitude & Behaviour on 10th February '24. The session aimed to equip the students with the mindset, competencies, and insights necessary to succeed in entrepreneurial endeavors. The speaker for the session was Mr. Shatrunjay Tripathi, Founder of Goldfinch Capital Solutions & Technologies. He highlighted on various facets of Entrepreneurship such as mindset development, skill enhancement, and behavioural insights among other touch points.
The primary objective of the session was to cultivate attitudes conducive to entrepreneurship, such as resilience, determination, adaptability, and a growth mindset. These attitudes are essential for navigating the challenges and uncertainties of starting and running a business. The outcome of the session was that students learnt to cultivate a mindset characterized by creativity, innovation, resilience, and a willingness to take risks, which are essential for entrepreneurial success.
Tree Plantation Drive

On January 17, 2024, the Sheila Raheja School of Business Management and Research (SRBS), along with the H East Ward of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) and the University of Mumbai, Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE), organized a Tree Plantation Drive at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ground, Kherwadi, Bandra (East), Mumbai.
The event's objectives are to promote environmental sustainability and raise awareness among students about the importance of preserving green spaces. SRBS has provided a different variety of plants to the students and staff, which include flowers and fruit plants (Sunflower and Tulsi Saplings, Mango Plants). Altogether twenty (20) plants were planted by the students. The tree plantation activity was followed by an informative DLLE training session conducted by Dr. Shanti Iyer; field Coordinator- DLLE, University of Mumbai. Her knowledge and expertise equipped the audience, with valuable knowledge and practical insights related to various community development programs that can be organized by SRBS under DLLE activities.
Tree Plantation Drive promoted environmental sustainability and fostered a sense of community engagement and learning. The collaborative efforts of SRBS students & staff and the Local Municipal Corporation, i.e. H East Ward of MCGM, made the event a meaningful and impactful initiative.
